Ingredients and Instructions:

--- ----MARTHA WHITE'S SOUTHERN SAMP--------------- Vegetable oil or shortening -for deep frying 1 c Martha White Self-Rising

-Flour 2/3 c Martha White Self-Rising

-Corn Meal Mix 3/4 c Milk

1 Egg, lightly beaten

2 tb Vegetable oil

Wooden skewers (optional) 1 lb Weiners, at room temp.

Mustard and ketchup (opt.)

In large saucepan or electric fryer, heat 2 to 3 inches of oil over medium-high heat to 375. Stir together flour and corn meal in mixing bowl. Add milk, egg, and 2 tablespoons oil; stir until smooth. set batter aside for 10 minutes. Insert skewers into weiners. Dip weiners into batter. Carefully drop corn dogs into hot oil. Fry until golden brown and floating on top. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with mustard and ketchup, if desired.
